The Istanbul Street Photography workshop, led by Gökhan Arer (@gokhanarer), will take place from 24-27 September (4 days). A maximum of 6 people can participate. The first 7 images shown are by Gökhan.
About the workshop
Istanbul is one of the most interesting cities in Europe for street photography. Located on two continents, the city combines European and Asian influences and offers a wide range of visual scenes and everyday street life.
The workshop is organized with a very diverse program, visiting many different neighborhoods of istanbul, each with its own character: from the historic streets around Sultanahmet, the ever changing scenes in Eminönü, the steep alleys and colorful houses of Balat, the busy markets of Kadıköy on the Asian side, and the creative atmosphere of Karaköy and Beyoğlu; we visit all of them on the best times and in the best places with the knowledge and experience of our Istanbul photographer Gökhan Arer.
During this 4-day adventure, Gökhan is the workshop leader, coaching participants on the job: he goes out with the group every day.
The focus of the workshops is to help you achieve your personal goals. Whether this concerns your shooting style, building your confidence on the street, technical or editing skills, Gökhan will guide you and help you produce strong images and a coherent body of work. It is very important to us that we provide a pleasant and safe environment for our participants so that everyone feels free to experiment, learn and create!
